West Bengal : Alapan Bandyopadhyay is now Chief Advisor to CM, H K Dwivedi gets Chief Secretary post

Amid the ongoing tussle between the Centre and West Bengal government, state Chief Secretary Alapan Bandyopadhyay’s (IAS:1987:WB) on Monday retired from his post. He will now serve as Chief Advisor to CM Mamta Banerjee for a period of three years. Meanwhile, state home secretary Hari Krishna Dwivedi (IAS:1988:WB) has been made the new state Chief Secretary while B P Gopalika (IAS:1989:WB) has been made the new state Home Secretary.
