WB: Six IPS officers shifted; DP Singh posted as Addl. CP of Kolkata

The West Bengal government on Tuesday (01.10.2024) issued transfer and posting orders for six IPS officers.

The names of the officers and their posting are as follows;

  1. Devendra Prakash Singh (IPS:2002:WB), IGP, Traffic, has been transferred and posted as Additional Commissioner of Police (Addl. CP) of Kolakata.
  2. Gaurav Sharma (IPS:2005:WB), IGP, STF, has been transferred and posted as IGP, Traffic.
  3. Pankaj Kumar Dwivedi (IPS:2011:WB), Superintendent of Railway Police (SRP), Howrah, has been transferred and posted as Commandant, State Armed Police (SAP) 6th Battalion.
  4. Pushpa (IPS:2012:WB), Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kolkata Armed Police (KAP), 3rd Battalion, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Railway Police (SRP), Howrah.
  5. Kunwar Bhushan Singh (IPS:2014:WB), Deputy Commissioner, Combat battalion, Kolkata, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Railway Police (SRP), Siliguri.
  6. Tathagat Basu (IPS:2010:WB), SP of West Bengal Police Recruitment Board has been sent on compulsory waiting in the rank of Deputy Inspector General.
