The West Bengal government on Monday appointed Alapan Bandopadhyay (IAS:1987:WB) as the new Chief Secretary of state. He will replace Rajiva Sinha (IAS:1986:WB), who is set to hang up his boots on September 30. At present, Alapan Bandopadhyay is serving as ACS, Home and Information.
