Vivek Singh’s (Private Person) tenure as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) for Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister for Finance & Corporate Affairs, in the Department of Expenditure has been curtailed. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (05.07.2023), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal to curtail Mr. Singh’s OSD tenure with effect from 17.07.2023.
Singh was appointed OSD to the finance minister in January 2021.
Prior to this position, he was working as Additional Private Secretary with Sitharaman.
