Senior IPS officer Vivek Gogia (IPS:1991:AGMUT) was on Monday (20.12.2021) appointed to the post of Director, National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB). He will replace incumbent Ramphal Panwar (IPS:1988:WB), who is set to retire on December 31, 2021.
According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India stated that Vivek Gogia, who is presently posted as Joint Director, NCRB, is appointed as Director, NCRB (ADG level). The joint tenure of Gogia as Director of NCRB can be extended under the provision of Para-5.1(3) of the IPS Tenure Policy.
