Senior IAS officer Vivek Bhardwaj (IAS:1990:WB), who is currently serving as Secretary in the Ministry of Panchayat Raj, has been assigned additional charge of the posts of Secretary, Department of Rural Development and Secretary, Department of Land Resources.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (January 30, 2026), the competent authority has approved the assignment of additional charge to Vivek Bhardwaj from January 31, 2026 to February 6, 2026. The additional charge has been given during the period of leave of Shailesh Kumar Singh (IAS:1991:JH), who is the regular incumbent of the posts.
