The deputation tenure of Viplav Kumar Choudhry (IPS:1997:JK) as Joint Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has been extended for a period of six months. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (20.02.2023), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved extending the deputation tenure of Mr. Choudhary for a period of six months beyond 27.09.2022 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
