Senior IPS officer Viplav Kumar Choudhary (IPS:1997:AGMUT), from the Jammu and Kashmir segment of the AGMUT cadre, has been appointed as the Special Director of Enforcement (SDE) in the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Presently, he is serving as Special CP, Vigilance in Delhi Police.
He recently returned from central deputation in late September 2024, after serving for seven years. His tenure included a stint as Joint Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) from March 2019 and, before that, a posting in the National Investigation Agency (NIA) starting in September 2017.
