The Union government on Tuesday (August 12, 2025) appointed IAS officer Vikram Singh Malik (IAS: 2012: AGMUT) as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (I&B), Delhi. Currently, he is serving as Secretary, Tourism & Culture Department in Ladakh.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), his appointment is made under the Central Staffing Scheme for a tenure of four years from the date of assuming charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Malik was recommended for Central deputation by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and will now be relieved of his duties to take up the new assignment in the I&B Ministry.
