The central government on Monday (25.10.2021) notified the appointment of Vikram Chauhan as an Additional Judges of the Allahabad Court. The appointment has been made pursuant to a Supreme Court Collegium recommendation after a meeting held August 24 this year. The Collegium had recommended the names of 12 other lawyers along with Chauhan for elevation as High Court Judges out of which 9 are now cleared. The Collegium had also recently recommended the names of three judicial officers for elevation as High Court judges.
