The deputation tenure of Vikas Narwal (IAS:2008:MP) as Deputy Chairperson of the Cochin Port Authority (CoPA) has been curtailed. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (09.07.2024), the competent authority has approved the proposal from the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways to end his tenure before the originally stipulated date of July 2027.
Vikas Narwal was appointed to the position in July 2022 for a five-year term, which was set to end in July 2027. However, his tenure has been shortened, and his next posting has not yet been announced.
