Senior diplomat Vani Sarraju Rao (IFS:1994) was on Friday (27.09.2024) concurrently appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of San Marino. Presently, she is Ambassador of India to the Republic of Italy. Despite her appointment to San Marino, her residence will remain in Rome. She is expected to assume her new responsibilities shortly.
In a statement, the MEA said, “Ms. Vani Sarraju Rao (IFS: 1994), presently Ambassador of India to the Republic of Italy, has been concurrently accredited as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of San Marino, with residence in Rome.”
“She is expected to take up the assignment shortly,” the statement added.
