The Uttarakhand government on Monday appointed Senior IAS officer Sukhbir Singh Sandhu (IAS:1988:UK) as the new Chief Secretary of the state. He replaces Om Prakash (IAS:1988:UK) as Chief Secretary. Prior to this assignment he was serving as Chairman of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways and was relieved only on Monday by the central government for his parent cadre at the request of the State government.
Om Prakash has been made the Chief Resident Commissioner, Delhi.
