IPS officer Rachita Juyal (IPS:2015:UK) has tendered her resignation from the Indian Police Service. According to sources, she has cited personal reasons for stepping down. She was currently serving as Superintendent of Police, Vigilance, in Uttarakhand.
Confirmed reports indicate that Juyal submitted her resignation on Friday to both the Chief Secretary and the Director General of Police. The matter is now under consideration at the state government level. Once processed, the resignation file will be forwarded to the Government of India for final approval.
Her unexpected move has triggered considerable discussion within administrative circles, given her relatively young career and current posting in a sensitive department.
