Uttarakhand: 13 IAS, 5 IPS officers transferred

The Uttarakhand government on Monday (17.03.2025) issued transfer and posting orders for 13 IAS and 5 IPS officers.

The names of the IAS officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Yugal Kishore Pant (IAS:2009:UK), Secretary, Religious Affairs & Culture and Director, Swajal, has been given charge of Secretary, Language.
2. Sonika (IAS:2010:UK), Additional Secretary, Cooperative, Registrar, Cooperative, CEO, Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA), has been given charge of Additional Secretary of Additional Secretary, Civil Aviation.
3. Vineet Kumar (IAS:2013:UK), Additional Secretary, Public Works Department, Forest, Planning, has been relieved of the charge of Planning.
4. Rina Joshi (IAS:2013:UK), Additional Secretary, Personnel & Vigilance, Transport and MD, Uttarakhand Transport Corporation, has been given additional charge of CEO, State Health Authority.
5. Anand Srivastava (IAS:2013:UK), Additional Secretary, Revenue, Medical, Health & Family Welfare with additional charge of CEO, State Health Authority, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, Revenue and Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare.
6. Manuj Goyal (IAS:2013:UK), Additional Secretary, Rural Development, Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, APD, ILSP and Project Director-UGVS-REAP, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, Sainik Welfare and Higher Education.
7. Himanshu Khurana (IAS:2015:UK), Additional Secretary, Jalagam, Additional Director/PD, Jalagam and CEO, PMGSY, has been given charge of Additional Secretary, Finance.
8. Abhishek Ruhela (IAS:2015:UK), Additional Secretary, Tourism and Additional CEO, Tourism Development Board, has been given charge of one more department as Additional Secretary, Skill Development & Employment.
9. Nitika Khandelwal (IAS:2015:UK), Additional Secretary, Rural Development, Director, ITDA, Director, USAC, Director, Urban Development, has been relieved of the charge of Additional Secretary, Rural Development and Director, Urban Development. Further, he has been given charge of Additional Secretary, Information Technology, Suraj and Science & Technology and MD, HILTRON.
10. Anuradha Pal (IAS:2016:UK), Additional Secretary, Medical, Health, Medical Education & Rural Development and Commissioner, Rural Development, has been given charge of APD, ILSP and PD-UGVS-REAP.
11. Gaurav Kumar (IAS:2017:UK), Additional Secretary, Social Welfare, Urban Development, Information Technology, Suraj and Science & Technology, Commissioner, Divyangjan, has been relieved of the charge of Additional Secretary, Information Technology, Suraj and Science & Technology. Further, he has been given charge of Director, Urban Development.
12. Varun Chaudhary (IAS:2017:UK), Commissioner, Haridwar Municipal Corporation, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, Medical, Health & Family Welfare.
13. Nandan Kumar (IAS:2019:UK), CEO, Chamoli, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Haridwar Municipal Corporation.

Further, the state government has re-assigned five IPS officers with new responsibilities.

The names of the IPS officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Ridhim Agarwal (IPS:2005:UK), IG, SDRF & Special Secretary, Home Department, has been transferred and posted as IG, Kumaon Range, Nainital.
2. Arun Mohan Joshi (IPS:2006:UK), IG/Director, Traffic and IG, Chardham Yatra Management, has been transferred and posted as IG, SDRF.
3. Anant Shankar Takwale (IPS:2006:UK), IG, Personnel, has been transferred and posted as IG, Training.
4. Yogendra Singh Rawat (IPS:2007:UK), IG, Kumaon Range, Nainital, has been transferred and posted as IG, Personnel.
5. NS Napalchyal (IPS:2005:UK), IG, CID, has been transferred and posted as Director, Traffic.
