Uttar Pradesh govt transfers five IAS officers; GK Tyagi is new Secretary, UPPCS

The Uttar Pradesh government on Wednesday (April 8, 2026) issued transfer and posting orders for 5 IAS officers.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Gunjan Dwivedi (IAS:2019:UP), awaiting posting orders, has been appointed as Mission Director, Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural).
2. Ratnesh Singh (IAS-SCS:2017), awaiting posting orders, has been appointed as Additional Director, Uttar Pradesh Academy of Administration & Management.
3. Ashok Kumar (IAS:2014:UP), Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) in Prayagraj, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Irrigation, Water Resources and Fallow Land Development Department and Prisons Administration and Reform Department.
4. Girijesh Kumar Tyagi (IAS-SCS:2014), Special Secretary, Higher Education & Registrar, Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) in Prayagraj.
5. Anita Verma Singh (IAS-SCS:2013), Special Secretary, Irrigation, Water Resources and Fallow Land Development Department and Prisons Administration and Reform Department, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Higher Education & Registrar, Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow.
