UP: Six IPS officers shifted, Agra CP Preetinder Singh attached to DGP police hqrs

The Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday (09.01.2024) implemented a significant reshuffling within the police administration, resulting in the transfer of six senior IPS officers. The noteworthy change in this reshuffle involves the transfer of Agra Police Commissioner Preetinder Singh, who has now been assigned to the DGP police headquarters in Lucknow.

The names of the officers and their postings are given below:

1. Chandra Prakash-II (IPS:2004:UP), IG, Prayagraj Range, Prayagraj, has been transferred and posted as IG, Intelligence Hqrs, Lucknow.
2. Dr. Preetinder Singh (IPS:2004:UP), Police Commissioner, Agra, has been transferred out and attached to DGP police headquarters in Lucknow.
3. Prem Kumar Gautam (IPS:2005:UP), IG, waiting for posting order in DGP police headquarters in Lucknow. has been posted as IG, Prayagraj Range, Prayagraj.
4. J Ravindra Goud (IPS:2005:UP), IG, Gorakhpur Range, Gorakhpur, has been transferred and posted as Police Commissioner, Agra.
5. Suresh Rao A Kulkarni (IPS:2008:UP), Additional Police Commissioner, Gautambudhnagar, has been transferred and posted as DIG, Gorakhpur Range, Gorakhpur.
6. Shivhari Meena (IPS:2010:UP), DIG/SP, Prisons Administration and Reform Services, has been transferred and posted as Additional Police Commissioner, Gautambudhnagar.
