The Uttar Pradesh government on Wednesday appointed retired IAS officer Arvind Kumar (IAS:1988:UP) as Advisor (Industrial Sector) to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. His services will be used by the government to develop Infrastructure and Industrial Development rapidly. His term in office will end on February 29, 2024.
He was serving as Additional Chief Secretary, Infrastructure and Industrial Development IT & Electronics when he retired from the service on February 28. Since he was very close to the government and an excellent officer, there was speculation that the government would soon place him on a significant assignment after his retirement.
