The Uttar Pradesh government is likely to promote two senior IPS officers—Rajeev Sabharwal (IPS:1993:UP) and Binod K Singh (IPS:1994:UP)—to the rank of Director General of Police (DGP) by the end of July 2025. Both officers are presently serving at the Additional Director General (ADG) level.
Rajeev Sabharwal is currently posted as ADG, Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Police Academy, Moradabad. Binod K Singh, who previously served as Special Director General in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), is currently holding the post of ADG, Cyber Crime, Uttar Pradesh.
