The Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday (30.06.2024) appointed senior IAS officer Manoj Kumar Singh (IAS:1988:UP) as the new Chief Secretary of the state. He will take charge of the post today. The incumbent Chief Secretary, Durga Shankar Mishra (IAS:1984:UP), completes his third extended tenure today. Since it is Sunday, Mishra’s last working day concluded on Saturday.
Presently, Manoj Kumar Singh serves as the Agriculture Production Commissioner and Infrastructure & Industrial Development Commissioner/ACS to the UP Government.
He will continue to hold the charge of IIDC Commissioner along with the Chief Secretary post.
