UP govt transfers 18 IPS officers; major changes in police administration

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has transferred 18 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers to various key operational units, days after a significant bureaucratic reshuffle involving 35 IPS and 34 IAS officers.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Dr Satish Kumar (IPS:2013), SP, Attached to DGP Headquarters, Lucknow, has been transferred and posted as Commandant, 1st Battalion, Special Security Force (SSF), Lucknow.
2. Sanjiv Suman (IPS:2014), SP, Attached to DGP Headquarters, Lucknow, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Uttar Pradesh State Institute of Forensic Sciences (UPSIFS), Lucknow.
3. Samir Saurabh (IPS-SPS:2016), SP, CID, Lucknow, has been transferred and posted as Commandant, 27th Battalion, PAC, Sitapur.
4. Ashutosh Dwivedi (IPS-SPS:2016), SP, Armed Police Training Centre (APTC), Sitapur, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Regional Intelligence, Ayodhya.
5. Anand Kumar-II (IPS-SPS:2017), SP, Regional Intelligence, Bareilly, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, CID, Lucknow.
6. Sanjay Rai (IPS-SPS:2018), SP, Regional Intelligence, Ayodhya, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Lucknow.
7. Shashi Shekhar Singh (IPS-SPS), SP/Additional SP, Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS), Lucknow, has been transferred and posted as Commandant, 11th Battalion, PAC, Sitapur.
8. Bansh Raj Singh Yadav (IPS-SPS), SP/Additional SP, CID Hqrs, Lucknow, has been transferred and posted as Commandant, 3rd Battalion, SSF, Prayagraj.
9. Rajkumar (IPS-SPS), SP/Additional SP, Security, Mathura, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Vigilance Establishment.
10. Preeti Bala Gupta (IPS-SPS), SP/Additional SP, ATS, Lucknow, has been posted as Superintendent of Police, ATS, Lucknow.
11. Kamal Kishore (IPS-SPS), SP/Additional SP, Police Headquarters, Lucknow, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Lucknow.
12. Devesh Kumar Sharma (IPS-SPS), SP/Additional SP, Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) Headquarters, Lucknow, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Food Cell, Lucknow.
13. Rahul Mithas (IPS-SPS), SP/Additional SP, Technical Services, Lucknow, has been posted as Superintendent of Police, Technical Services, Lucknow.
14. Dr Krishna Gopal (IPS-SPS), Commandant/Deputy Commandant, 5th Battalion, SSF, Saharanpur, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Police Training College (PTC), Moradabad.
15. Shoeb Iqbal (IPS-SPS), SP/Additional SP, Anti-Corruption Organisation (ACO) Headquarters, Lucknow, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Traffic Directorate, Lucknow.
16. Pavitra Mohan Tripathi (IPS-SPS), SP/Additional SP, Economic Offences Wing (EOW) Headquarters, Lucknow, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Regional Training Centre (RTC), Chunar, Mirzapur.
17. Alok Kumar Sharma(IPS-SPS), SP/Additional SP, Vigilance Establishment, Lucknow, has been posted as Superintendent of Police, Vigilance Establishment.
18. Mahesh Singh Attri (IPS-SPS), SP/Additional SP, Police Training School (PTS), Moradabad, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Regional Intelligence, Bareilly.
