UP govt transfers 16 IPS officers, 10 Districts get new Police Chiefs

In a significant reshuffle in the police administration, the Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday (September 18, 2025) issued transfer and posting orders for 16 IPS officers, including changes in leadership across 10 districts with new SSPs and SPs taking charge.

The list of transferred officers and their new postings is as follows:

1. Hemraj Meena (IPS:2012:UP) – SSP, Azamgarh → Attached to DGP Headquarters as SP.
2. Santosh Kumar Mishra (IPS:2012:UP) – SP, Kushinagar → Attached to DGP Headquarters as SP.
3. Jay Prakash Singh (IPS:2013:UP) – SP, Security, Lucknow → Posted as SP, Unnao.
4. Sanjiv Suman (IPS:2014:UP) – SSP, Aligarh → Posted as SP, Deoria.
5. Vikrant Veer (IPS:2014:UP) – SP, Deoria → Attached to DGP Headquarters as SP.
6. Neeraj Kumar Jadaun (IPS:2015:UP) – SP, Hardoi → Posted as SSP, Aligarh.
7. Ashok Kumar Meena (IPS:2015:UP) – SP, Sonbhadra → Posted as SP, Hardoi.
8. Abhishek Verma (IPS:2016:UP) – SP, Railways, Agra → Posted as SP, Sonbhadra.
