The Uttar Pradesh government on Friday (February 13, 2026) issued transfer orders for two senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, interchanging their current assignments.
Nilabja Choudhary (IPS:2000:UP), who was serving as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), CID, Lucknow, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, Lucknow.
Conversely, Ashutosh Kumar (IPS:2001:UP), who held the post of ADGP, UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, Lucknow, has been moved to take charge as ADGP, CID, Lucknow.
