UP govt assigns districts to trainee IPS officers of 2023 & 2024 batches

UP govt assigns districts to 23 trainee IPS officers of 2023 and 2024 batches for three-month field training across commissionerates and districts.

The Uttar Pradesh government on Wednesday (November 19, 2025) allocated districts to trainee IPS officers of the 2023 and 2024 batches for their three-month district training. Of the total 23 officers, 13 belong to the 2023 batch and 10 to the 2024 batch. This field posting is considered a crucial early step in an IPS officer’s career, offering hands-on exposure to law and order management, investigation, crime control, and administrative functioning at the grassroots level.

The district-wise allocation is as follows:

  2. Dinesh Godara (IPS:2023:UP): Gorakhpur
  3. Anjana Dahiya (IPS:2024:UP): Bareilly
  4. Ishwar Lal Gurjar (IPS:2024:UP): Prayagraj Commissionerate
  5. Ankit Bansal (IPS:2024:UP): Bijnor
  6. Mohammad Aftab Alam (IPS:2024:UP): Pratapgarh
  7. Bajrang Prasad (IPS:2023:UP): Meerut
  8. Mansi (IPS:2023:UP): Varanasi Commissionerate
  9. Diksha Moriya (IPS:2023:UP): Noida Commissionerate
  10. Shrishti Jain (IPS:2023:UP): Jaunpur
  11. Sumedh Milind Jadhao (IPS:2023:UP): Kanpur Commissionerate
