UP: Five IPS officers shifted; M K Bansal posted as DG, Home Guards

The Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday (August 26, 2025) issued transfer and posting orders for five IPS officers. Among those reshuffled, senior IPS officer MK Bansal has been appointed as Director General/Commandant General, Home Guards.

The names of the officers and their posting are as follows;

1. M K Bansal (IPS:1990:UP), DG, UP Power Corporation Limited, Lucknow, has been transferred and posted as DG and Commandant General, Home Guards, Lucknow.
2. Jay Narayan Singh (IPS:1994:UP), ADG, PTC, Sitapur, has been transferred and posted as ADG, UP Power Corporation Limited.
3. Prashant Kumar-II (IPS:2000:UP), ADG, Administration, has been given additional charge of ADG, Police Headquarters.
4. Upendra Kumar Agrawal (IPS:2005:UP), IG, PAC Hqrs, Lucknow, has been transferred and posted as IG, Intelligence, Lucknow.
5. Satendra Kumar (IPS:2010:UP), DIG, DGP Office, Lucknow, has been transferred and posted as DIG, PAC, Branch Agra.
