PCS officers in Uttar Pradesh aspiring for promotion to the IAS cadre will have to wait longer as the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting, scheduled for March 25 in Delhi, has been postponed. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has yet to announce a new date for the meeting.
According to sources, the postponement comes due to the increased workload on senior state officials following the completion of eight years of the Yogi government. In view of this, the Uttar Pradesh government requested the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) to reschedule the DPC, which has now been approved.
