UP: Anjaneya Kumar Singh to continue as Moradabad Commissioner till August 2026

UP govt confirms Anjaneya Kumar Singh will remain Moradabad Commissioner till Aug 2026 after his deputation was extended by the Centre.

The Uttar Pradesh government on Wednesday (August 27, 2025) issued an order confirming that IAS officer Anjaneya Kumar Singh (IAS:2005:SK) will continue as Commissioner of Moradabad till the end of his deputation tenure in August 2026.

Earlier, on August 25, the Central government had extended Singh’s deputation in Uttar Pradesh by one year, till August 14, 2026. He had been on leave since August 14 as his tenure was not extended in time. Following the fresh order from the state government, he is expected to take charge as Commissioner of Moradabad any time now.

Singh, a 2005-batch IAS officer of the Sikkim cadre, has been serving as Moradabad Commissioner since March 2021. He came to Uttar Pradesh on deputation in 2015 and has since held several important assignments in the state administration.
