UP: 3 Senior IPS and 24 DSP-level officers transferred

In a late-night administrative action on Monday (21.04.2025), the Uttar Pradesh government carried out significant changes in the police administration, issuing two separate transfer orders.

The first order involved the transfer of three senior IPS officers. The second order included the transfer of 24 Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP)-level officers, of which 16 are trainee DSPs and 8 are serving DSPs.

The names of the IPS officers and their postings are as follows;

1. D K Thakur (IPS:1994:UP), ADGP, Meerut Zone, Meerut, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, SSF, Lucknow.
2. Bhanu Bhaskar (IPS:1996:UP), ADGP, Prayagraj Zone, Prayagraj, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, Meerut Zone, Meerut.
3. Dr. Sanjeev Gupta (IPS:1999:UP), ADGP/Secretary (Home), Lucknow, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, Prayagraj Zone, Prayagraj.
