The Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday (29.10.2024) granted promotions to PPS officers, elevating 22 of them to the Indian Police Service (IPS).
The decision followed a meeting of the department promotion committee held on October 7, which approved the promotion of 1994, 1995 and 1996 batches officers to IPS cadre. The Ministry of Home Affairs subsequently issued a notification on Tuesday night.
The promotion were made against 24 vacancies that arose on January 1, 2023.
The newly promoted IPS officers are; Bajarang Bali, Dinesh Yadav, Sameer Saurabh, Mohd. Irfan Ansari, Ajay Pratap, Nepal Singh, Kamlesh Bahadur, Rakesh Kumar Singh, Lal Bharat Kumar Pal, Rashmi Rani, Anil Kumar Yadav, Laxmi Niwas Mishra, Rajesh Kumar Shrivastava. Chiranjeev Nath Sinha, Vishwajeet Srivastava, Manoj Kumar Awasthi, Amrita Mishra, Rohit Mishra, Shivram Yadav, Ashok Kumar and Dipendra Nath Chaudhary.
Notably, the promotions for Sanjay Kumar Yadav from the 1993 batch and Sanjay Kumar from the 1995 batch will remain sealed until ongoing departmental investigations are completed.
