The Government of India on Tuesday (26.09.2023) took the decision to appoint 17 State Civil Service officers from Uttar Pradesh to the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS). This significant development was communicated through an official directive released by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
These appointments have been made in alignment with the determined vacancies, which were collectively decided upon by the Government of India and the state government for the Select List of 2022. The appointed officers will serve their probationary period until further instructions are provided and will be allocated to the Uttar Pradesh Cadre as part of their administrative responsibilities within the IAS.
