UP: 11 IAS officers shifted, four Divisions get new Commissioners

The Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday (07.01.2025) implemented another bureaucratic reshuffle by issuing transfer orders for 11 IAS officers, including the appointment of new Commissioners for four divisions. Notably, the state government had earlier issued transfer orders for 46 IAS officers on the night of January 2 to streamline the administration.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Alok Kumar-II (IAS:1993:UP), Principal Secretary, Sports and Youth Welfare, MSME. & Export Promotion, Hanloom & Textile & Khadi & Gramodyog Deptt Technical Education Deptt.& Vocational Education & Skill Development, has been relieved of the charge of Sports and Youth Welfare Department.
2. Leena Jauhari (IAS:1994:UP), Principal Secretary, Stamp and Registration Department & Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), has been relieved of the charge of Stamp and Registration Department.
3. Amit Gupta (IAS:2000:UP), Divisional Commissioner, Kanpur Nagar, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Stamp and Registration Department and IG, Registration.
4. Manish Chauhan (IAS:2000:UP), Commissioner, Azamgarh Division, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Sports and Youth Welfare.
5. Dr. Muthukumarasamy B (IAS:2007:UP), Commissioner, Vindhyachal Division, Mirzapur, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Finance Department.
6. K Vijayendra Pandian (IAS:2008:UP), Commissioner & Director, Industries, has been given additional charge of Divisional Commissioner, Kanpur Nagar.
7. Bal Krishna Tripathi (IAS-SCS:2008), Commissioner, Chitrakootdham Division, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Vindhyachal Division, Mirzapur.
8. Dr. Rupesh Kumar (IAS:2009:UP), IG, Registration; MD, Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL) and MD, UP Power Transmission Corporation Limited, has been relieved of the charge of IG, Registration.
9. Vivek (IAS:2009:UP), Special Secretary, Home & Jail Admin. & Reforms Deptt, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Azamgarh Division.
10. Ajit Kumar (IAS:2009:UP), Secretary, Agriculture Department, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Chitrakoot Dham Division.
11. Narendra Prasad Pandey (IAS:2009:UP), Secretary, APC Branch, has been posted as Secretary, Planning Department and DG, Directorate of Economics and Statistics,
