Unmesh Sharad Wagh (IRS-C&CE:2000), currently serving as Deputy Chairperson of the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of Chairperson (JS level) for a duration of six months. This decision was formalized through an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has given its approval to the proposal presented by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, for Wagh to assume the additional charge of Chairperson. This appointment is effective from January 3, 2024, or until a regular appointment is made to the post, or until further orders, whichever occurs earlier.
