Ahead of the much-anticipated Union Cabinet reshuffle, changes in the gubernatorial assignments have been enacted by the Centre. The President appointed eight new governors on Tuesday. The major reshuffle saw the appointment of Union Minister Thawarchand Gehlot as the Karnataka Governor.
Thawarchand Gehlot was Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment and also the BJP’s Rajya Sabha leader.
