The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has accepted the resignation of Rachita Juyal (IPS:2015:UK), who had applied for voluntary retirement in June 2025. The approval came within three months, and the Uttarakhand government has also issued formal acceptance orders.

Juyal, who was serving as Superintendent of Police (SP), Vigilance, was overseeing the Haridwar Municipal Corporation land scam investigation at the time of her resignation.

She had cited personal and family reasons while seeking VRS.

An officer of the 2025 batch, Juyal earlier served as ADC to the Governor of Uttarakhand and later went on central deputation to the Intelligence Bureau.
