IPS officers S Chaitanya (IPS:2011:MH) and Siva Prasad Yellasiri (IPS:2011:SK), currently serving as Assistant Directors at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), Hyderabad, have been elevated to the rank of Deputy Director.
According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on April 30, the appointments have been made through temporary upgradation of two Assistant Director posts to the level of Deputy Director.
The promotions will be effective from the date the officers assume charge and will continue either until the end of their respective tenures or until a clear vacancy arises in the Deputy Director grade at the Academy. The upgradation is a personal measure applicable to these officers.
