Two IPS Officers Inducted as SPs in CBI

IPS officers Ashutosh Singh and Saurabh Gupta appointed as Superintendents of Police in the CBI for a five-year tenure.

In a key development, the Competent Authority on October 17 approved the induction of two Indian Police Service (IPS) officers as Superintendents of Police (SP) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The officers selected for the central posting are:

  1. Ashutosh Singh (IPS:2012:CG)
  2. Saurabh Gupta (IPS:2018:AM)

At present, both officers are serving in their respective cadres. Ashutosh Singh is posted as Superintendent of Police, Mahasamund (Chhattisgarh), while Saurabh Gupta is serving as Superintendent of Police, Hojai (Assam).
