Two IPS officers inducted as Joint Directors in CBI

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Thursday (05.10.2023) granted approval for the appointment of two senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers from the Gujarat and Tamil Nadu cadre to serve as Joint Directors in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Thursday (05.10.2023) granted approval for the appointment of two senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers from the Gujarat and Tamil Nadu cadre to serve as Joint Directors in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The officers, Deepak M Damor (IPS:2001:GJ) and Pradip Kumar (IPS:2003:TN), have been selected for these positions through lateral shift. Their appointments come with a combined tenure of five years, extending until June 28, 2027.

Currently, both officers have been serving as Inspector Generals (IG) within the Border Security Force (BSF). Notably, Deepak M Damor assumed his position as IG, BSF – Gujarat Frontier at the BSF Headquarters in Gujarat on September 30th.
