Two IPS officers get Apex Pay Scale

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Wednesday (05.03.2025) approved proposal of Ministry of Home Affairs to grant Apex Pay Scale (Level-17 in the pay matrix) to two IPS officers from 1990 batch.

They are;

1. Sadanand Vasant Date, currently serving as Director General (DG) of National Investigation Agency (NIA).
2. Rajeev Kumar Sharma, currently serving as Director General (DG) of Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D)

Sadanand Vasant Date is schedule to retire on December 31, 2026 while Rajeev Kumar Sharma will retire on March 31, 2026.
