Two Advocates appointed as Judges of Delhi HC

The Union government on Monday (06.01.2024) notified the appointment of two Advocates as Judges of the Delhi High Court.

They are;

1. Ajay Digpaul
2. Harish Vaidyanathan Shankar

The Supreme Court collegium on August 21, 2024 approved the proposal to elevate three Advocates as Judges of the Delhi High Court.

Two of the candidates were cleared by the Centre on Monday.

However, the government has not yet cleared the appointment of Advocate Shwetasree Majumder whose elevation was also recommended in the same resolution.
