In a significant move ahead of Union Budget 2025, the Modi government on Wednesday (08.01.2025) appointed Tuhin Kanta Pandey (IAS:1987:OR), currently Secretary of DIPAM, as the new Revenue Secretary. Pandey takes over from Arunish Chawla (IAS:1992:BH), who subsequently replaced him as the Secretary of DIPAM under the Ministry of Finance.
Chawla will also hold an additional charge of the post of Secretary of the Department of Public Enterprises and Secretary, Ministry of Culture until the appointment of a regular incumbent.
Tuhin Kanta Pandey will continue to be designated as Finance Secretary.
