With the approval of Election Commission, the Tripura government has appointed Brijesh Pandey (IAS:2004:TR) as Chief Electoral Officer. He succeeds Punit Agarwal (IAS:1988:TR), who was relieved by the state government on August 17 to take up the role of Additional Secretary & Finance Advisor in the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways.
