Three Judges appointed to Uttarakhand HC

The Union government on Thursday (27.04.2023) notified the appointment of two Advocates and one Judicial Officer as Judges of the Uttarakhand High Court with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices.

The names of the two Advocates are :

1. Rakesh Thapliyal
2. Pankaj Purohit

The name of the Judicial Officer is:

1. Vivek Bharti Sharma

The Supreme Court collegium on April 12 approved the proposal to elevate two Advocates and one Judicial Officer as Judges of the Uttarakhand High Court and sent the recommendations to the President.
