The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has recently granted approval to the proposal for repatriating four distinguished officers, currently holding crucial positions at the center, back to their respective parent cadres. Among them, three are IAS officers, and one is an IRS-IT officer.
The officers and their current assignments are as follows:
- Sanjay Bandopadhyay (IAS:1988:MP), serving as Chairman, Inland Waterways Authority of India, Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways.
- Alok (IAS:1993:RJ), currently serving as Additional Secretary, National Disaster Management Authority, Ministry of Home Affairs.
- Alok Shekhar (IAS:1994:PB), holding the position of Additional Secretary, Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation.
- Vikram Sahay (IRS-IT:1992), presently in the role of Joint Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.
