Three Advocates appointed as Additional Judges in Punjab and Haryana HC

The Union government on Thursday notified the appointment of three Advocates as Additional Judges of Punjab and Haryana High Court.

The Union government on Thursday notified the appointment of three Advocates as Additional Judges of Punjab and Haryana High Court. They have been appointed for a period of two years, in that order of seniority, with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices.

They are;

  1. Sumeet Goel
  2. Sudeepti Sharma
  3. Kirti Singh

The Supreme Court Collegium had on October 17 recommended names of five Advocates for appointment as Judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. However, as per the notification, only three of those advocates have been cleared for appointment.
