Three Additional Judges appointed to Madras HC

The Union government on Monday (06.02.2022) notified the appointment of three Advocates as Additional Judges of theMadras High Court. They have been appointed for a period of two years with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices.

The Union government on Monday (06.02.2022) notified the appointment of three Advocates as Additional Judges of theMadras High Court. They have been appointed for a period of two years with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices.

Their names are ;

  1. Lekshmana Chandra Victoria Gowri
  2. Pillaipakkam Bahukutumbi Balaji
  3. Kandhasami Kulandaivelu Ramakrishnan

The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the elevation of five Advocates to the high court bench on January 17. However, the government withheld the appointment of Advocates Venkatachari Lakshminarayanan and Ramaswamy Neelakandan.
