Telangana transfers 23 IPS officers in major reshuffle

In a major reshuffle in the police administration, the Telangana government on Saturday (September 27, 2025) issued transfer and posting orders of 23 IPS officers.

Among the key changes, Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand has been elevated as Special Chief Secretary, Home Department, while VC Sajjanar has been appointed the new Hyderabad Police Commissioner. In another significant move, Vijay Kumar has been posted as ADGP, Intelligence.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Ravi Gupta (IPS:1990:TG), Special Chief Secretary, Home Department, has been transferred and posted as Executive Vice Chairman and Director General for Good Governance Telangana.
2. C V Anand (IPS:1991:TG), Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad is transferred and posted as Special Chief Secretary, Home Department.
3. Shikha Goel (IPS:1994:TG), Director, TG Cyber Security Bureau, Hyderabad and HFAC Director, Telangana, FSL , Hyderabad is transferred and posted as Director General, Vigilance & Enforcement and Ex-Officio Principal Secretary, General Administration Department. She is also placed in full additional charge of the post of Director, TG Cyber Security Bureau, Hyderabad.
4. Swati Lakra (IPS:1995:TG), Additional Director General of Police, Organization and Home Guards, Hyderabad is placed in full additional charge of the post of Director General, Special Protection Force.
5. Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat (IPS:1995:TG), Additional Director General of Police (L&O), Telangana, Hyderabad is placed in full additional charge of the post of Additional Director General of Police (Personnel).
6. Charu Sinha (IPS:1996:TG), Additional Director General of Police, CID, is placed in full additional charge of the post of Director General, Anti Corruption Bureau.
7. Dr Anil Kumar (IPS:1996:TG), Additional Director General of Police, Personnel, has been posted as Additional Director General of Police (Operations), Greyhounds and Octopus.
8. VC Sajjanar (IPS:1996:TG), Managing Director, Telangana State Road Transport Corporation, Hyderabad, has been transferred and posted as Police Commissioner of Hyderabad.
9. Vijay Kumar (IPS:1997:TG) is posted as Additional Director General of Police, Intelligence, Hyderabad.
10. Y Nagi Reddy (IPS:1997:TG), Director General, Telangana Disaster Response & Fire Services, is transferred and posted as Managing Director, Telangana State Road Transport Corporation.
11. Devendra Singh Chauhan (IPS:1997:TG), Principal Secretary, CAF&CS Department & Ex-Officio Commissioner, Civil Supplies and HFAC VC & MD, Civil Supplies Corporation and Controller of Legal Metrology, is transferred and posted as Additional Director General of Police, Multizone II.
12. Vikram Singh Mann (IPS:1998:TG), Additional Commissioner of Police, Law & Order, Hyderabad City, is transferred and posted as Director General, Telangana Disaster Response & Fire Services.
13. M Stephen Raveendra (IPS:1999:TG), IG (Operations), Greyhounds & Octopus, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Civil Supplies and Ex-Officio Principal Secretary, CAF&CS Department.
14. M Srinivasulu (IPS:2006:TG), IGP, CID, is transferred and posted as Additional Commissioner of Police, Crimes, Hyderabad City.
15. Tafseer Iqubal (IPS:2008:TG), Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Zone-VI, Charminar and HFAC IG, Multizone-II, has been transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner of Police, L&O, Hyderabad City.
16. SM Vijay Kumar (IPS:2012:TG), DCP, West Zone, Hyderabad City, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Police, Siddipet.
17. Sindhu Sharma (IPS:2014:TG), SP, Intelligence, is transferred and posted as Joint Director, Anti-Corruption Bureau.
18. Dr G Vineeth (IPS:2017:TG), DCP, Madhapur, Cyberabad, has been transferred and posted as SP, Narayanpet.
19. Dr B Anuradha (IPS:2017:TG), Commissioner of Police, Siddipet, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, LB Nagar Zone, Rachakonda.
20. Ch. Praveen Kumar (IPS:2017:TG), Deputy Commissioner of Police, LB Nagar Zone, Rachakonda, is transferred and posted as Joint Director, Anti-Corruption Bureau.
21. Yogesh Goutam (IPS:2017:TG), SP, Narayanpet, has been transferred and posted as DCP, Rajendranagar, Cyberabad.
22. Ch Srinivas (IPS:2017:TG), DCP, Rajendranagar, Cyberabad, has been transferred and posted as DCP, West Zone, Hyderabad City.
23. Ritiraj (IPS:2017:TG), Joint Director, Anti-Corruption Bureau, is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Madhapur, Cyberabad.
