The Telangana government has initiated the process for promoting 1994 batch IPS officers to the rank of Director General of Police (DGP). It has been learnt that a file prepared by the General Administration Department (GAD) has been sent to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for his approval.
They are;
- B Shivadhar Reddy, ADGP/Chief of Intelligence Bureau
- K Sreenivasa Reddy, ADGP/ Hyderabad police commissioner
- Apte Vinayak Prabhakar, who is currently on deputation with the Intelligence Bureau as Joint Director.
- Abhilasha Bisht, presently ADGP, Telangana State Police Academy.
- Shikha Goel, ADGP/ Director of TG-Cyber Security Bureau & CID chief.
Currently, two DGP rank posts are vacant as Sandeep Shandilya (IPS:1993:TG) retired recently whereas Rajiv Ratan (IPS:1991:TG) passed away recently.
