Telangana CM entrusts IAS to give honest feedback on govt performance

CM Reddy said it was the duty of every officer to uphold the public trust through transparent and effective governance model.

With an eye on the next assembly elections, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy recently urged senior IAS officers of the state to provide their take on the achievements and shortcomings of the Congress government. It is being done in order to chart out a  roadmap ahead of the assembly polls.

CM Reddy said it was the duty of every officer to uphold the public trust through transparent and effective governance. He said this while addressing officials during a review of the 99-day ‘Praja Palana–Pragati Pranalika’ programme.

He claimed that the state has secured investment commitments worth nearly ₹8 lakh crore.

The Telangana CM said that the proposed ‘Future City’ project has the potential to significantly transform the state’s economic trajectory. He asked officials concerned to maintain sharp focus on planning and execution.

He also instructed secretaries to maintain updated data on outsourcing and contract employees across departments.

He was particular about it that no government offices are operated from rented buildings and proposals for which should be incorporated in upcoming budget plans.
