Telangana: 5 IPS officers shifted; CV Anand posted as Hyderabad Police Commissioner

The Telangana government on Saturday (07.09.2024) effected a significant reshuffle in police administration, assigning new roles to five senior IPS officers. Notably, CV Anand, Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, has been posted as the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, replacing Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy.

The Telangana government on Saturday (07.09.2024) effected a significant reshuffle in police administration, assigning new roles to five senior IPS officers. Notably, CV Anand, Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, has been posted as the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, replacing Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

  1. CV Anand (IPS:1991:TG), Director General, Anti Corruption Bureau, Hyderabad, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad.
  2. Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy (IPS:1994:TG), Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, has been transferred and posted as Director General, Vigilance & Enforcement & Ex-officio Principal Secretary, General Administration (V&E) Department.
  3. Vijay Kumar (IPS:1997:TG), Additional Director General of Police, Personnel, Hyderabad, has been transferred and posted as Director General, Anti Corruption Bureau, Hyderabad.
  4. Mahesh M Bhagwat (IPS:1995:TG), Additional Director General of Police, Law & Order, has been placed in full additional charge of Additional Director General of Police, Personnel & Welfare, Hyderabad.
  5. Ramesh (IPS:2005:TG), Inspector General of Police, Provisioning and Logistics, O/o Director General of Police, Telangana, Hyderabad, has been placed in full additional charge of the post of Inspector General of Police, Sports, Hyderabad.
