Tamil Nadu: Three IPS officers shifted; Sandeep Rai Rathore posted as DGP, Training

The Tamil Nadu government on Monday (08.07.2024) issued transfer and posting orders for three senior IPS officer.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. A Arun (IPS:1998:TN), ADGP, Law & Order, has been transferred and posted as ADGP/Commissioner of Police, Greater Chennai Police by downgrading the post of DGP/Commissioner of Police, Greater Chennai Police.
2. Dr. Sandeep Rai Rathore (IPS:1992:TN), DGP/Commissioner of Police, Greater Chennai Police, has been transferred and posted as DGP, Training, Police Training College, Chennai.
3. S Davidson Devasirvatham (IPS:1995:TN), ADGP, PHQ, Chennai, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, Law & Order.

The reshuffle of senior IPS officials follows the brutal killing of Tamil Nadu Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader K Armstrong by armed assailants last week.
